Sometimes, the concrete cityscape gets to be a bit much, and you need to escape somewhere with green grass and tall trees. El Retiro Park (Retiro Park) is a 308-acre park atop a hill in the middle of the city. There are thousands of trees, tons of walking paths, soccer fields, and streams to discover here. You’ll see little green parakeets hopping around the grass as you breathe in that fresh Madrid air. The Crystal Palace is one of the major attractions, which houses a large selection of exotic plants near the Great Pond. Camping in Madrid
Finding an RV campground in Madrid shouldn’t be too difficult — there's a good selection right in the middle of the city. On the north side of the city, you’ll find a good option: Camping Osuna. It's conveniently located near two of the city’s biggest parks: Juan Carlos and El Capricho. The campground is family-friendly, and each site has its own electrical hookup. Amenities include public restrooms and hot showers. The playground is sure to keep the kids entertained, while the bar might appeal to the adults in your group. An on-site store is a convenient addition for guests in need of supplies.
Exploring the Area
Museo Del Prado is a fantastic museum that's highly regarded as one of the best in Europe and one of the most visited in the world. Its enormous collection spans from the 12th century all the way to contemporary art. There are literally thousands of paintings and sculptures to see, so plan to spend a few hours admiring the masterpieces on display. On your way out, don’t forget to stop by the store and pick up some fun memorabilia or gifts for loved ones back home.
