2006 Ford E350 Box Van
This Ford E350 is a recently renovated Shuttle bus. It has huge windows along each side and comfortably seats 12, in chairs and on a sofa. There are 2 small tables and a large ice cooler for drinks in the passenger area. The ride is fantastic since you see a 270 degree sweep of the outdoors as you relax with your family and friends.AC power and phone charging are convenient. It is well lit with a great stereo and DVD system that runs off the solar/battery system. It is carpeted and colorfully decorated. The driver does not need a special license, and sits in a normal Ford Truck cabin with a passenger seat that opens into the rest of the bus. There is plenty of storage under the seats and couches. The back compartment has more storage, a microwave, an electric cooler for food, and dining supplies including camping chairs, a fold out table, a camping stove, and a water storage / sink with hot water. There is a lockable door hatch that opens between the back and the passenger area for access on the road. When parked the back compartment offers a secure locked area for valuables. This bus is great fun for a group, to tour around and picnic for the day, or to take on longer trips when additional tents or an AirBnb or hotel are planned. There is a front hitch for a 2 bike size rack. Parking is not a problem- the bus fits in a standard parking spot except for length, so 2 spots end to end, or a spot along a wall has worked just fine. Even in large city garages we have been able to find regular parking. It is also great fun for 2 people to camp in, as the couch becomes a double bed. There is no toilet system (except an emergency Military style setup) and the water system is limited to the 5 gallon tank (altho with hot water and a shower head) which can be refilled. We have blackout curtains and mosquito netting for all the windows and with the solar/battery system it is quite cozy. Campsites without hookups are perfect, as are rest areas with restrooms, and not having to set up and deal with the water and sewer systems is a plus.Rethink the RV! We had a 2 month wonderful trip on this bus last summer- stopping at airports to drop off and pick up family and friends for the sections of the US they wanted to see. When you drive up and open those shuttle doors, and everyone climbs on board, it is so much fun.
