Barton Springs Campground

With so many itinerary-worthy places in the surrounding area, you and your rental RV will be quite busy. One of the spots that you don't want to miss out on is Fall Creek Falls State Park, about a 90-minute drive to the east of the campground. The centerpiece of the park is definitely Fall Creek Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern part of the country. This wonder of nature is not the only thing worth exploring – there are more majestic waterfalls, misty valleys filled with trees, a tranquil lake excellent for boating and fishing, as well as a golf course. If you want to satisfy your adventurous spirit, go rock climbing or try to complete the Canopy Challenge Course. Tens of miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the park, showing you the beauty of nature in all its glory. Nature lovers who want to travel less and spend more time outside can do so at Tims Ford State Park. Surrounded by the lake on almost all sides, it is a prime spot for boating, fishing, and simply taking in the wonderful landscape. The wooded parts of the park hide hiking and biking trails, and you can stop along the way to enjoy some bird watching. A swimming pool is there to help you relax after an exciting day of exploration. The unparalleled beauty of the Appalachian Mountains is widely known, and one of the best places to witness it is Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you want to stay in your Normandy RV rental or go backcountry camping in a tent, you will find your place among the rolling ridges of this incredible park. There is no end to the exciting activities you can take part in, from biking, hiking, and horseback riding to exploring historical buildings and getting familiar with the culture of the area. You can come to the park during the entire year and admire blooming flowers, fall colors, and stunning winter scenery.
