The Great Outdoors

You will be near the Big Sandy Unit of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge when you rent a camper near the Buchanan Resort. It has been designated an Audobon Important Bird Area. This site is adjacent to Kentucky Lake. The upland areas are part of a cooperative farming program that is managed to provide food for waterfowl, including diving ducks, loons, and grebes. Mature forests are actively managed to improve nesting structure. Other bird species here include gulls, shorebirds, wading birds, raptors, ospreys, and the golden eagle, which is a Tennessee threatened species. Recreational activities here include bird watching, hiking, boating, and fishing and hunting.Experience the great outdoors at the Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park when you camp in an RV near Springville. This state park features the Tennessee River Folklife Interpretive Center and Museum with exhibits and displays, videos, and a gift shop. What type of RV should I choose?

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
