Soddy-Daisy is a quiet city located in southern Tennessee near U.S. Highway 27. It was formed in 1969 after the nearby towns of Soddy and Daisy merged together. While it’s not quite clear where these two names came from, it’s believed that “Soddy” is a Cherokee word while “Daisy” was used to honor the daughter of a prominent coal miner.
