We absolutely love Chinooks and other vintage RVs. At the moment we are in the middle of several vintage restoration projects. Giving life back to amazing vehicles we have found in junk yards, blackberry bushes and backyards. So excited to share them with other people!

The Nook is a Vintage Toyota Chinook pop-top that has been rebuilt yet keeps its vintage charm. We found the beauty in Healdsburg, CA. It is the third in our fleet and we have poured a lot sweat and tears into it. It is comfortable for two with a spacious living area that quickly converts into a bed, and a small additional space above for a small child. The pop-top design makes it roomy and easy to stand in. Chinooks are more affordable than renting both a car and hotel on your vacation.

If you’re looking for a true retro driving/camping adventure then this is it. We received countless waves, positive comments and even purchase offers from random observers. The Nook was well stocked with the essentials - much of it being in new condition. The owners were quick to respond when we had inquiries and the living quarters were cozy and comfortable. We spent a great week with the Nook traveling daily but never further than a couple hours from Bozeman. So much outdoors stuff in the area. We were anglers on the Madison, whitewater rafters on the Gallatin, mountain bikers in Big Sky, spelunkers at Lewis & Clark, rodeo spectators in Livingston on Independence Day, Art walk evening on Main St. Bozeman, and hiked many miles of vertical mountain trails. The Nook got us there. One comment for you city folk…the Nook is an old stick shift, without power steering or A/C. It took a little getting used to driving. As I said, it is an adventure, but we’ll worth it and adds another dimension to the trip. Hope you enjoy the ride too.
