Green Lake is also located just a short drive away. It is known as the deepest lake in Wisconsin and is an excellent place to go boating. It is a very popular fishing spot, and you will find pike, bass, walleye, catfish, trout, and many other fish species there. For those just looking to relax, Terrace Beach is located on the north side of the lake. For those who enjoy hunting, there are also several public hunting areas in the town of Green Lake. If you plan on going hunting or fishing, be sure to check the local regulations beforehand. The Grand River State Wildlife Area is also located near Lake Arrowhead Campground. This park is a preserved marsh that has become a very popular place for wildlife viewing and birding. While no powered boats are allowed on the water there, you can rent a canoe in the nearby town of Montello and enjoy a peaceful day on the water. Hiking is allowed there, as is cross-country skiing in the winter; however, there are no designated trails. When camping at Lake Arrowhead Campground, you can also take a short drive to nearby Montello and visit the stunning Daggett Memorial Park. This beautiful park is home to picturesque waterfalls that you'll want to photograph. Although it's not very large, it's still a great place to stop and take a stroll or just relax for a bit. The town often hosts local events there too.

Exploring The Area

When camping at Lake Arrowhead Campground, be sure to make the drive to Wisconsin Dells and check out the town's incredible water parks. There are several different water parks located in proximity to each other, and there are also multiple zoos and animal attractions. This is a particularly excellent place to visit if you have children along for the motorhome rental ride. Adults will also enjoy the charming downtown area, which is home to local shops and charming waterside restaurants. You can even take a romantic dinner cruise on the river. When you book an RV in Marquette County, you will also be close to several golf courses. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy working their way through the many greens within driving distance, the closest of which are in Green Lake. Another fun and laid-back activity to enjoy while you are in the area is shopping. A large flea market is held in nearby Princeton throughout the summer, where you can find many hidden treasures and items from local vendors.Although the campground is a bit secluded, there are still plenty of essentials within a short drive. Both Montello and Princeton are close by, and they each have a few restaurants and cafes for those days when you don't feel like cooking. Many of the dining options in the area are located right on the water for a truly picturesque experience. Both also have several convenience stores and gas stations where you can stock up. If you need a full grocery store, you will find one in Montello.

Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
