Outdoorsy Expands Vehicle Purchase Program with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Partnership

Building on the successful launch of its Vehicle Purchase Program in June with Mercedes-Benz, Outdoorsy adds Dodge vehicles to the program lineup to meet growing demand in the recreational vehicle market.

To answer the call of entrepreneurial RV business owners everywhere, Outdoorsy is excited to add Dodge vehicles to its Vehicle Purchase Program through a new partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). By teaming with FCA to expand its industry-first purchasing platform, Outdoorsy will continue to create avenues for entrepreneurs to quickly build their own rental businesses with a variety of vehicle options.

Outdoorsy’s Vehicle Purchase Program is an internet sales and distribution model for campervans and RVs that harnesses the power of the internet to give consumers priority access for purchasing recreational vehicles — access that has historically been unavailable to average consumers.

“With the creation and expansion of our Vehicle Purchase Program, we’re empowering consumers and small- to mid-sized businesses who don’t have the purchasing power bigger rental companies do,” said Jeff Cavins, Outdoorsy CEO. “We’re thrilled to add Dodge vehicles to our program that gives users a simple, hassle- and headache-free way to grow their business. We’ve designed this program to enhance transparency while eliminating the friction and high costs associated with traditional purchasing and financing methods.”

This expansion comes four months after the successful launch of Outdoorsy’s Vehicle Purchase Program that debuted with models provided by Mercedes-Benz, financing provided by Daimler Financial Services and outfitting provided by Sportsmobile. Due to the popularity of the program and demand for additional vehicle options, Outdoorsy is adding Dodge ProMaster models to its platform that works in tandem with dealers and upfitters to streamline the online purchasing process for campervans and RVs.

The FCA partnership will tap into top-tier Dodge financing options, available through Chrysler Capital for qualified candidates, and is open to Outdoorsy fleet owners who own at least five vehicles. Fleet owners will also have access to Outdoorsy’s premier upfitting process to get their vehicles specced out.

By purchasing vehicles through the program, owners who qualify can expect to get pricing incentives on Dodge ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500 models. New vehicle orders through Outdoorsy’s Vehicle Purchase Program have an anticipated 4 to 12 week fulfillment timeframe after order placement, dependent on vehicle type.

The program will continue to give both individual owners and rental fleet managers factory-direct access — from purchase and financing to insurance, listing, and renting — all within the Outdoorsy marketplace to fulfill growing demand.

For Outdoorsy RV owners, the program empowers them to be able to solve their most difficult operational needs and focus on the core of their business: providing their customers with the best rental experience possible. For Outdoorsy RV renters, this means more searchable, high-quality vehicle options directly at their fingertips.

“Outdoorsy’s Vehicle Purchase Program is in strategic alignment with manufacturers who are seeing explosive global demand for campervans, which are especially popular among millennials,” said Kyle Columbus, Outdoorsy’s director of business development for OEM relationships, who has spearheaded the buildout of Outdoorsy’s Vehicle Purchase Program. “This new program will unlock much-needed supply for this fast-growing audience of millennials and Gen Xers who represent more than 70 percent of all campervan and RV rentals on Outdoorsy.”

Outdoorsy’s program complements existing businesses, such as dealers and upfitters, by bringing the traditional offline experience into the digital age — providing expanded reach to younger audiences. Through the shopping experience, growing RV fleets will be connected with local dealerships, allowing them to receive service agreements and warranty benefits.
