Introduction
Featuring old-growth forests on slopes, alpine and subalpine ridges, and a valley-bottom lake, Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park is an ideal setting for RV camping. Located 64 km (40 miles) southeast of Chilliwack, this 93 sq. km (36 sq. mile) provincial park offers 40 km (25 miles) of hiking trails for the hiking pleasure of RV campers. Moreover, other recreational opportunities available in the park include cycling on the roadways, canoeing and kayaking on the sparkling Chilliwack Lake, angling for kokanee and other fish species, wildlife and bird viewing, nature observation and appreciation, hunting, swimming in the lake’s cold waters, windsurfing, pet walking, waterskiing, picnicking, photography, horseback riding and many more.
Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park features 146 RV campsites available on first-come first-served basis and by reservations. Facilities and amenities in the park include picnic areas, pit/vault toilets, water taps, wheelchair accessible areas, playground, trailer dump station, boat launch, firewood, Information Center, and parking areas. There is no cell service in the park and no pay phone is available. The closest store and pay phone to the park is 32 km (20 miles) away.

Transportation
Driving
Located 64 km (40 miles) southeast of Chilliwack, Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park is easy to access by RVs and trailers, as well as other motorized vehicles. The local paved roads within the park also offer easy access and navigation to the various campgrounds and areas of interest in the park. The use of ATVs and other off-road vehicles is not allowed in the park.
Parking
Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park features two large parking areas that are available for RV campers to park their trailers and cars. Moreover, vacationers can park their rigs at their respective campsites. Even more, overnight parking is available.
Public Transportation
There are no direct public transportation services to Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.

In-Season
Hiking/Cycling
Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park features several trails for RV campers to enjoy hiking on at the park. These include Lindeman Lake Trail, Greendrop Lake Trail, Flora Lake Trail, Radium Lake Trail, and Trans Canada Trail. Flora Lake Trail, Greendrop Lake Trail, and Lindeman Lake Trail share a trailhead at the Post Creek Parking Area. In terms of trail lengths, Radium Lake Trail is 16 km (10 miles), Flora Lake Trail is 14 km (9 miles), Greendrop Lake Trail is 10.4 km (7 miles), and Lindeman Lake Trail is 3.4 km (2 miles).
Cycling opportunities are also available on the roads in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park and all riders are required to wear bicycle helmets.
Canoeing/Kayaking
Canoeing and kayaking opportunities are available for experienced paddlers only in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. This is as a result of the severe afternoon winds that are prevalent on Chilliwack Lake. Although there are no canoe or kayak rentals in the park, there is a boat launch facility. Large watercraft are not suited for the boat launch. All paddlers are required to adhere to paddling speed restrictions of 10km/hr 100m from shoreline and 25km/hr on the remainder of the lake.
Fishing
RV campers that love fishing will enjoy the adventure on Chilliwack Lake in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park, as fish species such as kokanee, cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and dolly varden are available in the lake. Consequently, anglers visit the park with their fishing gear and tackle. An appropriate fishing license is required to engage in fishing at the park.
Off-Season
Flora and Fauna
Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park features diverse flora that beautify the park. These florae which include beautiful trees, resplendent flowers and shrubs form part of the natural heritage of the park. In addition, bears and other wildlife are common in the park.
Swimming
Chilliwack Lake is open to RV campers on vacation to enjoy swimming, however the water is very cold. The beach area in the park is sandy and no swimming rafts are available for use. Furthermore, no lifeguards are on duty. Swimming are advised to exercise caution and watch out for the high winds in the afternoon.
Windsurfing and Waterskiing
Windsurfing and waterskiing are popular recreational activities in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. Windsurfers particularly take advantage of the frequent strong winds on the lake in the afternoons.
