Introduction
Featuring five beautiful lakes and lush vegetation, including Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine forest as well as grassland habitats, Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is a premier destination for RV holidays. Located about 10 km (6 miles) southwest of Elko, Ontario, this 6.8 sq. km (2.6 sq. mile) provincial park offers amazing RV vacation experiences through recreational activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, flora observation, nature viewing, swimming, hunting, park programs, photography, and many more.
Kikomun Creek Provincial Park features three campgrounds with over 170 RV campsites available by reservation and on first-come first-served basis. Some of the campsites in the campground are equipped with electric hookups for RVs. Facilities and amenities available in the park include group campsites, picnic areas, pit/flush toilets, showers, water taps, wheelchair accessible areas, garbage stations, playground, boat launch, campfires, Information Center, dump station, amphitheater, and parking lots.
One of the most prominent features of Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is the abundant population of painted turtles, named for the distinctive red and yellow markings that are on their undersides.
Kikomun Creek Provincial Park was established in 1972.

Transportation
Driving
Located about 10 km (6 miles) southwest of Elko, Ontario, Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is easily accessible by RVs, trailers, and other motorized vehicles, since the park is a simple drive-in park along Kikomun Newgate Road. There are local paved roads within the park that make navigation to the different areas in the park easy. There are no driving restrictions within the park.
Parking
There are three large parking areas for RVs, trailers, and cars in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park located around Surveyors Lake and Kalispell Campground. Two parking lots are by Surveyors Lake while one parking lot is by Kalispell Campground. Campers can also park their rigs at their respective campsites in the park’s campgrounds. Overnight parking is available.

Surveyors Campground
Surveyors Campground in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park features 104 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. There are no hookup options for RVs in the campground. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however vacationers with larger rigs can call ahead to find out if there is space available. Amenities available at the campground include playground, Information Center, pit/flush toilets, water and garbage, garbage station, restrooms with showers, amphitheater, access to hiking and biking trailheads, waterfront access.
All but one campsite in the campground are available by reservation. The one campsite is available on first-come first-served basis.
Panderosa Campground
Panderosa Campground in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park features 35 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents, as well as two camp cabins. 10 campsites in the campground are equipped with electric hookups for RVs, while the remaining campsites do not have RV hookups. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however vacationers with larger rigs can call ahead to find out if there is space available. Amenities in the campground include pit/vault toilet, garbage station, water taps, restrooms with showers, Information Center, access to hiking and biking trailheads, waterfront access.

Kalispell Campground in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park features 30 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. There are no hookup options for RVs in the campground. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however vacationers with larger rigs can call ahead to find out if there is space available. Amenities available at the campground include water and garbage, pit/vault toilets, and a parking lot nearby.
All the campsites in the campground are available on first-come first-served basis only.

Off-Season
Hunting
At Kikomun Creek Provincial Park, during lawful game hunting seasons, hunting is allowed. However, RV campers who love to hunt for game are prohibited from hunting or discharging firearms with a 400 m (1,312 ft) distance from the centerline of the park’s road.
Swimming
RV campers usually can’t wait to take a dip in the warm water of Surveyors Lake whenever they visit Kikomun Creek Provincial Park on holiday. The sandy beaches in the park also offers sunbathing and tanning opportunities. No lifeguards are on duty at Kikomun Creek Provincial Park.
Flora
Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is home to many endangered plants in the rare native grasslands of Ontario. The park features shrubs, flowers, and trees that are part of the heritage of the park. RV campers are treated to scenic views of these flora in the park along the trails.
In-Season
Canoeing/Kayaking
Surveyors Lake in Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is available for RV campers to enjoy canoeing and kayaking activities while on vacation. Kayak rentals, stand-up paddle board rentals, and peddle boat rentals are available at the park for RV campers who visit the park without their vessels to participate in the fun experience.
Fishing
Angling is a great activity to enjoy at Kikomun Creek Provincial Park, thanks to the abundant kokanee, smallmouth bass, and rainbow trout in the park’s lakes. Kokanee is found in Lake Koocanusa, while smallmouth bass and rainbow trout are found in Surveyors Lake. All RV campers who wish to fish in the park are required to possess an appropriate fishing license.
Hiking
Kikomun Creek Provincial Park features various hiking and cycling trails that crisscross different parts of the park and fascinating features scattered around the park. The trails take campers outside the park to the shores of Baynes Lake, around Surveyors Lake and Hidden Lake, and in between Stink Lake and Fisher Lake. Hiking and biking along the trails offer campers the opportunity to enjoy the view of the resplendent flora in the park. Sign posts are located along trails to guide hikers and cyclists. RV campers can also cycle along the roadways in the park.
