Introduction
Featuring a rocky beach as well as a large day use area which offers plenty of recreational activities for campers, Kin Beach Provincial Park is a place to visit to have a great time away from home. Located in the Comox Valley on central Vancouver Island, a few kilometers north of Comox, BC, you can rest assured that at this small park, you will enjoy scenic views of Sunshine Coast and the mainland mountains, as the park overlooks the Salish Sea.
Besides the amazing picnic opportunities that the park offers at its shaded day use area, you will be able to fish for salmon, shellfish, and rockfish at the park, paddle on the park’s waters, cycle along the roadways, explore the beach for valuable items by beachcombing, swim, and enjoy views of the natural features at the park.
There are 18 RV campsites at the park’s campground, which are available by reservations. At the park, there are also a number of facilities and amenities, including group camps, cold water taps, playground, firewood, pit toilets, picnic tables, and a parking lot. No trails and wheelchair accessible areas are available at the park. Meanwhile, a general store is available at the park.

Driving
Located in the Comox Valley on central Vancouver Island, a few kilometers north of Comox, Kin Beach Provincial Park is easy to find and access by RVs, trailers, and other motorized vehicles because the park is just along Astra Road. Driving within the park is also easy because of the road networks within the park. There are no driving restrictions within the park.
Parking
There aren’t many parking options available for RVs and trailers at Kin Beach Provincial Park. There is a parking lot at the day use/picnic area in the park and you’ll be able to park your rig(s) at your designated campsite in the park. Overnight parking facilities are available.
Public Transportation
There are no direct public transportation services to Kin Beach Provincial Park.

Reservations camping
Kin Beach Campground
Kin Beach Campground features 18 vehicle-accessible campsites available for RVs and tents. In addition to the fact that there are no RV hookups at the campground, only basic amenities such as cold water taps, pit toilets, fire pits, and picnic tables. RV length limit at the campground is 32 ft (10 m).
Campsite reservations are recommended and available at the park.

In-Season
Fishing
Kin Beach Provincial Park’s water are very popular for angling activities among RV campers who visit the park on holidays. The most popular species in the park which anglers often catch are salmon, shellfish, and rockfish, and regardless of your angling skills, you’ll be able to make a catch at the park. It is worth noting that fishing in the park is guided by provincial and federal fishing regulations and all anglers must possess an appropriate fishing license before fishing in the park.
Canoeing/Kayaking
Opportunities to engage in exciting canoeing and kayaking activities are available at Kin Beach Provincial Park. Although there is no boat launch at the park, this does not deter paddlers because the beach is a good alternative for launching canoes and kayaks on to the park’s waters.
Cycling
Although there are no trails at Kin Beach Provincial Park, opportunities to enjoy cycling on the roads in the park are open to all RV campers who love the fun and exercise. Cycling is particularly loved by campers because it offers the opportunity to explore the entire park. The use of bicycle helmets is mandatory in the park.

Beachcombing
Are you a collector or just a lover of exploration? Either way, you’ll find that the beach is rich with various items and things of value that you can collect. This is why beachcombing is a popular activity among RV campers at Kin Beach Provincial Park. The activity is both exciting and rewarding.
Swimming
No designated swimming areas are available at Kin Beach Provincial Park. However, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy ocean swimming at the park. The waters in the park are often prone to high tides, during which periods tidal pools form. These tidal pools provide safe swimming areas for children. No lifeguards are on duty at the park, so all swimmers are advised to exercise caution.
Picnicking
Featuring a large picnic area that is equipped with picnic tables, a covered picnic shelter, pit toilets, cold water taps, fire pits, and a woodstove, you are guaranteed a swell time when you choose to picnic at Kin Beach Provincial Park. The grassy areas in the picnic area are worthy of mention too, as there is a tennis court that offers more fun opportunities.
