Looking for a place to relax, refresh, and enjoy rustic camping on an RV holiday? Then Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park has got you covered. Established in 1975 and located northwest from Highway 1 at Chase, along 8 km (5 miles) of gravel road, this 2.75 sq. km. (1 sq. mile) provincial park sits on the north side of Niskonlith Lake.
At Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park, you get to enjoy so many water activities like canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving. There are beautiful views of wildflowers and trees that decorate the park and present opportunities for hiking, biking and photography. Anglers can fish for kokanee and rainbow trout in the pristine wilderness. For expansive views, take a trip out of the valley on Niskonlith Lake road. Here you'll have an excellent view of Chase community, the Thompson Valley, and Little Shuswap Lake. There’s just so much to enjoy at the park.
There are 29 RV campsites at the park. All are available on a first-come first-served basis only and feature basic facilities. To make the best of your camping trip to Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park, you should come prepared with items that will make you self-sufficient, as the park only features pit toilets, a boat launch and firewood. The nearest telephone to the park is 8 km (5 miles) away at Chase.

Located northwest from Highway 1 at Chase, along 8 km (5 miles) of gravel road, Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park is easy to access by RVs, trailers, and other motorized vehicles. There are local roads within the park too that make driving within the area easy. No driving restrictions exist within Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park.
Parking
Limited parking options are available for RVs, trailers, and cars at Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park as there is parking at the individual campsites. However, overnight parking is available at the park for registered RV campers.
Public Transportation
There are no direct public transportation services to Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park.

First-come first-served
Niskonlith Lake Campground
Niskonlith Lake Campground in Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park features 29 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. No electric or RV hookups are available in the campground. Many of the campsites in the campground are designed for small trailers, as the RV length limit at the campground is 25 ft (8 m). However, if you have a larger rig, you can call the park ahead to find out if space is available.
Pit toilets and firewood are available in the campground.
Most of the campsites in the campground are shaded and all the campsites are available on first-come first-served basis only.

In-Season
Canoeing/Kayaking
Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park offers canoeing and kayaking opportunities for RV camping enthusiasts who enjoy being on the water. The lake has a 10-horsepower motor restriction, which makes it safe and accessible for paddlers.
For those who prefer something a little bigger, due to the boat launch facilities, the largest boat you can safely launch is a car-top type boat. Whatever your preferred vessel, it's a perfect way to enjoy the relaxing scenery.
Fishing
Fishing is a very popular activity at Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park, particularly among RV campers that possess an appropriate fishing license. Kokanee and rainbow trout are the common fish species in the lake, however some wild variants of rainbow trout are found in the area. These are known as Kamloops trout, and they are more often only caught by skilled fly-fishers in the park. How about you test your angling skills fishing for them?
Swimming
Swimming opportunities are available at Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park for RV campers who enjoy the activity. Just keep in mind that there is no designated swimming area in the park, and no lifeguards are available. Hence, caution while swimming is advised.
If you are considering taking up scuba diving, this park is also quite popular with beginner divers, so why not give it a try?
Off-Season
Flora
As you visit Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park, you’ll be greeted by the lush forests and towering cottonwoods that decorate the park that are a sight to see. Old growth specimens of Douglas fir are also present here and provide opportunities for beautiful walks and hikes.
If you visit in spring, the wildflowers in the park blossom adding color and elegance to the park. You, for sure, do not want to miss these resplendent views at the park.
Hiking/Biking
If you love to take casual strolls along scenic trails, then you’ll enjoy a hike along the gentle trails that are available at Niskonlith Lake Provincial Park, particularly in the fall when you’ll get to see various migratory birds. The towering trees make for pristine wilderness walks.
If you like to bike, you can cycle on the roads in the park and cover lots of ground in a shorter time. Remember, though, to bring your bicycle helmet as the use of it is mandatory in the park.
Winter Recreation
When you visit the park in the winter, you get to enjoy its many trails by snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. There are also opportunities for ice fishing. The magic lies in the quiet you get to experience because there are significantly fewer people frequenting the park. Do keep in mind that the trails are not maintained in the winter and the road access is limited.
