Admittedly, Sherwood Park is a fairly sleepy community and most of the major attractions in the area will be found in Edmonton. Most of the Sherwood Park area is populated with the winding streets and dead-end cul-de-sacs that you would expect in a suburban neighborhood. However, there are quite a few places to enjoy the great outdoors. Broadmoor Lake Park and the Sherwood Park Athletic Club are great places to go if you’re looking for a little outdoor recreation. The park has several miles of trails surrounding Broadmoor Lake. During the winter, the lake freezes over and ice skating is possible.
