About Robyn Talley

At 39 years old, I decided to buy a camper irrelevant of the fact, I was green as the grass. I set out for Greenville, SC with no experience. Hello, I am Robyn Talley and this is why I did that. I did it for two reasons. One, if I could tow a rig from SC to MS without endangering myself or others I felt confident I could make it to a state park or my parents' driveway. Two, if I went alone I had no option but to be successful. I drove through, in, out, and around the south to avoid Atlanta, Georgia. I may be impulsive and overzealous but I know myself and that I had no business towing a travel trailer for the first time through the madness...I drove through SC...NC...TN...finally into MS. It took me just shy of four days to arrive home. I pulled over at dusk for three nights. I slept at a rest stop, a Wal-Mart, and a Cracker Barrell until the sun woke me, and then I would eat a bite and leisurely...off I go again. For the rest of the days, I would hold up traffic with my slow inexperienced driving. Oh but the journey...I quickly realized that adventure: builds my confidence, unwinds my sassy self, and has a classic story of the time spent. The cliche' camping sticker "making memories one campsite at a time" is an accurate statement! There are no regrets when loving, living, learning, recharging or taking a journey. Whatever way you chose to spend your thoughts, time, and self I hope you do not allow lack of experience to stop you.
