The nearby Rolling Hills RV Park is the ideal place to set up camp when visiting Lake Bounds. Full 20, 30, 50 amp electrical, water, and sewage hookups are provided here. Facilities include a dump station, flushing toilets, shower blocks, laundry services, and a swimming pool.

Drive a little further north, and campers will come to Birmingham South RV Park. Full electrical, water, and sewage hookups are also provided here. Facilities include a dump station, laundry services, on-site general store, and flushing toilets. There are also many pull-thru sites here, meaning all sizes of rigs are welcome.

Exploring the Area

As the city of Birmingham is only a half an hour’s drive from Lake Bounds, it provides the perfect place for sightseeing and day trips. Those with a taste for all things horticulture should not pass up the chance to visit the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. These gardens are home to a wide range of flora, encompassing the very best in flowers and plants. Visitors can take a wander around these gardens, taking in the beautiful displays, gardens boasting over 25,000 different types of plants, covering 25 various stylized gardens.

That camping with young children should not miss the chance to visit Birmingham Zoo. This zoo is home to nearly 800 hundred animals, representing two-hundred species.
