About this RV

If you like the idea of a small, lightweight trailer, then our Scamp 13' camper is the perfect trailer for you.

Compact and cozy, our little fiberglass “egg” is great for couples or small families. The front sofa converts to bunk beds, and the rear dining area converts to a double bed, providing sleeping space for four people. My passion is helping travelers experience the beauty of Alaska warmly and safely. We can also provide you with a camping package including (but not limited to) camp chairs and a cooler. Other items available upon request.

As this is a tow behind travel trailer, I prefer to rent to people who have experience towing something behind their vehicle. The trailer hitch requires a 1 and 7/8” ball and the electric plug for the driving lights is a flat 4-prong. Please provide an adapter if your vehicle does not have this style plug. The tongue weight is 100-120 pounds. The refrigerator currently works when plugged into a land line. It does not function on LP mode.

The trailer tongue rides about 14” from the ground in order to have the Scamp fairly level. Please make sure your tow package has the proper hitch (flat or drop down etc) to be within 13-15” from the ground. I cannot rent to anyone who isn’t prepared to safely tow the Scamp level with working lights.

The Scamp rents with pots, pans and dishes for eating and drinking. There will be sufficient propane provided for your trip. Filling the 20 gallon water tank is optional as many prefer to tow with it empty as you get better gas mileage.

Rachael's Outdoorsy info is spot on and comprehensive. Everything in the Scamp worked great, it is obviously well maintained. Rachael responds quickly. Scamp was clean and ready. Even when we had a schedule issue Rachael found a solution. My wife and puppy slept warm and happy on the bed. I slept same on the bunk.
