Lake Powell is located in far northern Arizona. The lake actually straddles the state border with Utah. There is a small town that shares the same name as the lake, less than five miles from this body of water. This is a very rural part of the country. The nearest true cities are Flagstaff, AZ and St. George, UT, both at near 150 miles away.

Lake Powell was formed by a dam on the Colorado River and is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the country. This is such a scenic area; Hollywood has even taken advantage of it. The movie Gravity and the HBO show Westworld were both partially filmed here, among many others. Recreational opportunities abound here, in both the canyon, the lake, and the surrounding region.
