Burns Park Campground

Ouachita National Forest is all about big numbers – with almost two million acres of amazing nature, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, over a thousand lakes, and ten rivers. Breathtaking vistas of rolling wooded hills and meandering rivers can be seen during a scenic drive in your Little Rock rental motorhome. If you want to admire some wonderful plants and cross clear mountain springs, try completing the Horsethief Springs Trail. Explore on foot, or travel this giant by bike, on horseback, or in your off-road vehicle. In addition to hiking, visitors can take part in fishing, boating, hunting, or simply taking in the fantastic landscape. Between Ouachita and Ozark national forests, Mount Magazine State Park is a hidden treasure that you can reach in a couple of hours in your RV rental. The park is named after Mount Magazine, the highest point in the state, offering stunning vistas of the surroundings. The mountain offers more than that – it is a top location for mountain climbing and hang gliding, activities that will add some more excitement to your RV camping trip. If you want to reach all the parts of the park, go hiking or backpacking and enjoy the views of rocky outcroppings and deep canyons along the way. Activities also include mountain biking and horseback riding, as well as birding and wildlife viewing. Arkansas is known for its pristine rivers, and when you rent a camper near Burns Park Campground, you will find yourself only a couple of hours' drive away from Buffalo National River. One of the first designated national rivers in the entire country, its unique turquoise color and towering cliffs with waterfalls jumping from them provide a sight that you will never forget. To experience the river up-close, float on its peaceful surface in a kayak, canoe, or by tube. RV camping in this incredible place will also allow you to discover its numerous caves, the Cobb Cave being only one of a few hundred. Hikers can witness the variety of the park as they move through its wooded areas and pass by extraordinary rock formations.
