Lake Conway has long had a reputation for being one of the best fishing locations in all of central Arkansas, and it is easy to see why. The lake is best known for its bass fish, who are here in high numbers. Verity of bass includes largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass, and hybrid bass. Alongside these, there is also an abundant number of crappie, catfish, sunfish, pickerel, and bluegill. Wherever Lake Conway campers choose to fish such a great reputation and fertile waters, success is almost guaranteed.

Camping at Lake Conway

Those who go RV camping at Lake Conway have little choice when it comes to camping directly along the edge of the lake, though there are many sites within a short drive. ‘Eastern Slope Camping Area’ is a campsite and RV park only a few miles north of Lake Conway. Partial hookups are provided here, including water and electrical hookup. Facilities include a flushing toilet, shower block, dump station, laundrette, and an on-site general store.

Exploring the Area

Arkansas’s capital, Little Rock, is only a half-hour drive from Lake Conway and offers a range of day trip and sight-seeing opportunities. Families with young children should not pass but the chance to visit Little Rock’s ‘Museum of Discovery.’ The children’s museum showcases many educational, yet entertaining exhibits. This allows children to ‘learn through play,’ something that will be great news to parents. Lying among many of the science exhibitions is one of the museum’s most high profiled displays, the world’s largest bipolar tesla coil - this is a must-see when in the city of Little Rock.

Brandon and Dana were great!!! We requested a last minute rental and they really came through for us. The camper was clean, well supplied, and super cozy. We had a 13 hour rain day on our trip, but loved every cozy minute we got to spend inside relaxing.
