About this RV

If you like the idea of a small, lightweight trailer without the inconvenient setup, then our 13' Scamp camper, "Shamu", is the perfect option for an individual, couple or small family. The front sofa converts into two small bunk beds, and the rear dining area converts into a double bed. Shamu provides sleeping space for up to four people. The fiberglass shell lightens the load considerably allowing most vehicles to pull the trailer without much effort. Wind, rain, and snow are no longer camping deal breakers. Our Scamp is equipped with a thermostat controlled heater as well as a highly effective reversible fan (that can pull warm air out during the day and cool air in during the evenings) along with an abundance of operable windows for excellent circulation. A complete overhaul of Shamu was done in August 2020 and it is clean, in great shape, and ready for new adventures.

Having shore power will allow for the outlet and small light under the cabinet to work. Onboard battery recharges while your are driving or if you are plugged in. The other lights, heater, and fan draw power from the onboard battery and propane which we’ve found to be more than enough when off the grid.

Camper pick-ups will be scheduled for after 9 AM and returns are expected before 6 PM on the final day of the rental. We may have some flexibility depending on the rental schedule but please be respectful of our time. If necessary and if scheduling permits, we can schedule an evening pickup for an additional fee in the event you want to get an early start to your adventure. This may also require additional insurance.

Over the years while traveling in the Scamp, we’ve experienced some of our most heartwarming memories and hope this can be an opportunity for you to create special memories that will bring you smiles for years to come.

We took our 6 month old camping for the first time with snow in the forecast; needless to say, Shamu kept us warm and dry and our daughter loved it!

Jane and family got us rolling and the trailer was clean, easy to use and in great condition. Can’t recommend them enough!

Our family had the most wonderful weekend of camping, and a lot of that was because of Shamu. Jane’s Scamp was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and it provided a cozy haven from the howling winds and cold rain that hit us one day. Jane and Kent spent a generous amount of time making sure we were totally up to speed on all of the interior features, as well as how to get everything hooked up and detached.

In fact, we had such a good time in this thing that we decided we want to buy one ourselves! Can’t recommend this little camper enough. Wish the weekend had never ended.

What a fun camper! We loved this whole experience and were very grateful for Jane. She is a fantastic communicator and is ready to help at the drop of a hat. We had one small technical issue and Jane was on it immediately with solutions. We have a two year old and this camper was a game changer! The mornings were very cold outside, but we were able to wake up, make coffee and sit and enjoy the scenery warm in our pjs. We loved the “Mu” and her family. Would absolutely recommend!

Jane was the best host we have ever had! She was so thoughtful, kind and very responsive. She helped us make our adventure so easy and was so accommodating. The Scamper named “mu” is a treasure - it fit our family and little girls loved it! We had the best adventure camping near Aspen and we are so grateful we had the easy to tow Mu with us! Thank you Jane for an incredible time!

My wife, 3 year old son, and myself rented 'Shamu' from Jane and couldn't have had a better experience from initial inquiry to pick up, camping, and return! The scamp was thoroughly cleaned before our pickup, and in great condition. Jane took the time to explain all the features, and had troubleshooting tips handy for us to review should we need them. She was also very quick to communicate and had…
