About this RV

Looking for an adventure trailer to get you deeper into the wilderness and away from the crowded campgrounds? This Expedition 2.0 from OffGrid Trailers has all the capability you need to explore and camp in comfort and style. With a fully boxed frame, independent suspension, and the Max Roll hitch system you can be sure that this trailer is ready to venture past the sea of RV's at the KOA and head deep into the wilderness.

The trailer comes equipped with a 32 gallon water tank, kitchen station with two burner stove and sink, an on-demand hot water shower, a Propex roof mounted heater, and a Dometic 12V 55L refrigerator. The systems are all powered by an onboard battery bank as well as a supplemental 100W solar system to keep the batteries topped off indefinitely. We also outfit the trailer with a full kitchen setup including dishes, pots/pans, cooking tools, and utensils. Linens are included as well, the queen bed comes with a fresh change of sheets, a comforter and two pillows. All you need to do is bring your food and clothes and you're set to go.

For those of you shopping for an OffGrid trailer we can offer a $500 discount coupon good towards the purchase of any new trailer from them. What better way to see if this fits your lifestyle than to try a weekend in the woods with the Expedition 2.0?

What’s included?

180 degree awning with wall kit, 100W suitcase solar system, Camping chairs (2), Folding table, linens, pillows, pots, pans, plates, cups, cooking utensils, eating utensils, french press coffee maker, basic cleaning supplies

Other things to note

The trailer weighs approximately 2200 lbs loaded. Due to the design of the trailer it has a rather high tongue weight of approximately 400lbs so you will need a suitable tow vehicle such as a mid sized SUV or pickup truck with a 2" receiver style hitch to safely tow this trailer. The trailer is equipped with electric brakes and connects to your vehicle using the RV standard 7-pin plug.

Doug was fantastic from start to finish in helping me with the rental. The camper was clean, comfortable, and able to go just about anywhere. One huge advantage to this rental option is the ability to pick up the camper near some great places to camp. Why tow a heavy camper over the mountains from Denver when you can pick it up when you get there?

Doug was great to keep in touch with. He even provided suggestions for some great locations to camp. His camper is amazing. Anywhere my truck could go the camper went. We found some camp sites where another person was not seen for two days. Exactly what we were looking for. It's a great setup and everything worked flawlessly. We camped for five days and cooked for four people during that time. I will be returning to do this again.

Had a great experience renting this Off Grid from Doug. He was super accommodating to work with and very personable. He spent plenty of time showing me the various operational things I needed to know in order to maximize my use of the trailer. It really is an awesomely rugged, go anywhere trailer! One picture is of the rig at my boondocking site west of Buena Vista, the other picture is my view looking out from my campsite.

Awesome trailer. Super capable - where your vehicle goes, it goes.

Doug was really helpful and highly engaged before and during the reservation. He helped guide our trip, and was very accessible when we had questions about the trailer or the areas we were traveling in.

We look forward to visiting the area again and taking the trailer out for another adventure.
