Q.How many kilometres can I travel in the RV?
A.
You are welcome to take the RV up to 150km/day. Additional kilometres will be charged at 50c per kilometre, and deducted from your bond at the completion of your trip.
Q.I've never driven an RV before. What advice do you have?
A.
The most important thing is: take your time. RV travel is a lot of fun, and super convenient - you can take a toilet break, have a meal, take a nap, without leaving (or stopping) the van. It is different to driving a car, but driver visibility is excellent thanks to the height of the vehicle, huge windscreen and reversing camera.
Q.Is renting an RV better than a caravan?
A.
If you are planning to move around a lot, or travel long distances, the RV is much more convenient than a caravan as there is little to no set up or packing. It also gives you the 'glamping' (luxury camping) experience without the need for a big vehicle to provide towing power, as is needed by most luxury caravans. It is especially convenient if you are visiting from overseas, as there is no need to book separate accommodation and car hire - you can simply pick up and go!
Q.Is the RV suitable for travelling with toddlers or young children?
A.
Yes! We travel with our three children all the time, and they love it :) It is much easier to keep them entertained and happy on long drives because they can sit up at one of the dining tables to play games, watch TV or have a snack. It is also more comfortable, as they are not stuck in a small space (ie. the backseat) and can see more of what's happening around them, in and outside.
