Getting Outdoors

The rolling hills of Deer Creek Canyon Park attract hikers all year round. The trail is 2.7 miles long, and not too difficult with just a few tricky parts. Kids and older hikers could easily conquer it. Hiking trails are visible and well-marked, but you might encounter a couple of side-trails leading off the path. They were made by hikers who want to enjoy a panoramic view of the valley below. The flora and fauna of this place are gorgeous, especially in fall when leaves turn brown. Just remember to pack a pair of hiking boots into your RV rental, and you may experience this park to its fullest. It is important to mention that rattlesnakes are a common sight during summer months, so keep your eyes open. Deer Creek Canyon Park is a well-known destination for mountain bikers. While some of the paths are reserved for hiking only, the Plymouth Creek trail is open for mountain bikers who wish to engage in their favorite activity. This part of the trail runs alongside the water and is slightly more challenging. Deer Creek Canyon Park campers who go mountain biking here will get to see plenty of cliffs on both sides of the trail and view wonderful landscapes in the heart of Colorado.

Exploring the Area

Located in the South Platte River Valley, with the Rocky Mountains on one side, Denver is the capital of Colorado and a popular tourist destination. This place is often called the Mile High City since it is exactly one mile above sea level. Denver’s downtown area is pedestrian-friendly and has many fascinating sights. You could start your tour at the Colorado State Capitol. The magnificent architecture of this place will take your breath away. Opened in 1894, the building is made of Colorado white granite, with a golden dome. The dome is a tribute to the Colorado Gold Rush. Visitors may tour the inside of the Colorado State Capitol and go up the stairs to view the city from the golden dome. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Denver is Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. The 150,000 square feet former Lowry Air Force Base houses more than 50 aircraft used from 1939 to 1990. There is a special part of the museum dedicated to the space program with several exhibits about the Cold War, NASA missions, and many more. Younger visitors will be thrilled to discover that they may even get inside some of the aircraft or try different flight simulators. Touring Denver could be exhausting, and you might want to grab a bite to eat before you hit the road again. The city has so many restaurants, diners, and street food vendors that even the pickiest eaters could find something that will satisfy their taste buds. Large convenience stores are located downtown and in several adjacent neighborhoods. When you need supplies for your motorhome camping trip, you may find everything right here. Don’t forget to refill the tank of your RV before you leave the city. Gas stations are located by the highways and major roads. Colorado is famous for outdoor attractions and untouched nature. Should you feel like continuing your exploration of this state, go north on I-25 to Fort Collins, a place known for craft breweries and the nearby Horsetooth Reservoir.

I loved being able to have a gas range stove to cook more than one thing at once. I appreciated how sharp the knives were, that there was salt and pepper and it wasn’t just some little packets:) I appreciated having multiple cookware pieces. If I were to upgrade the cookware, I might switch one of the pans out for a cast iron. The inclusion of the drip coffee filter is great. I appreciated that the power to generate everything was sufficient and reliable. The porta potty and satellite were total game changers in travelling with more ease and less stress. I appreciated Kevin’s willingness to answer my questions, his promptness in communication, and his generosity.
