Four J Plus One Plus One Campground

Book an RV in Ouray County, and you will find yourself in the midst of so many places to visit, that no one in your party will be bored. There are a couple of interesting museums found in town. The Ouray Alchemist Museum features pharmaceutical items from the past. The history of modern pharmacy is showcased, both reputable treatments, and those that were lacking. The Ouray County Museum is housed in an old miners' hospital. It features the history of the local area, namely the mining industry that put the town on the map. The artifacts here cover four floors! Camping with an RV at this campground will put so many unique locations right at your fingertips. There are some incredibly picturesque sites to explore in the mountains around Ouray. These include the Animas Forks Ghost Town, Yankee Boy Basin, and the Yankee Girl Mine. Visitors should be aware 4x4 capable vehicles are required to reach these locations, such as a jeep or an ATV. If you don't own these yourself, fear not! There are several vendors that rent vehicles in town, and some even offer tours! There is a scenic drive available that almost everyone can easily enjoy. Ouray is found on US 550, also named the Million Dollar Highway. This is the main route through the mountains of western Colorado, running from Durango, in the south, all the way to Montrose in the north. It traverses such well-known places as Red Mountain Pass and is known for its hairpin turns and steep drop-offs. (There are no guardrails, as the only place for the snowplows to push the snow, in the winter, is over the nearby cliff!) The road is paved, and is open throughout the year, as weather conditions permit. When you've been looking for a quiet place to relax, where you are surrounded by scenic views, consider a campsite at Four J Plus One Plus One Campground . Go hiking through the nearby mountains, take a scenic drive on one of the most dangerous roads in the country, or relax in a local hot spring. Check out a campervan rental in this part of Colorado and enjoy exploring the Old West!
