During your RV rental vacation at Vallecito Lake make sure to check out the Tour of Carvings, which was created by a local artist and commemorates the Missionary Ridge Fire of 2002, when many ancient Ponderosa Pine trees (some over 200 years old and up to 175 feet tall) were lost. The memorial carvings are 18-feet tall, weigh around 2,600 pounds, and are mounted on concrete piers found all around the lake area.

The owner was a very nice person to deal w/, personable, gracious, flexible, and helpful - and, no, I never met her or knew her before!
She answered all my newbie questions as this was my 1st time to all this...
My wife is somewhat incapacitated, and the owner did everything she could to make the van ready for my wife... I give the owner thumbs up, highest scores... I had no complaints...
The van ran like a champ across the state and back, and I am not talking about Rhode Island...

From the beginning, Chris was an excellent host and Freddy (the camper) was an excellent place to stay. Any questions or issues were quickly dealt with by Chris and I would definitely book again

RV was clean & spacious. Bed was comfortable (for an RV), water was hot for a good length of time, hosts were incredibly kind, helpful & flexible. Would absolutely book again.
