This rustic campervan is equipped to take you to the furthest backwaters of Scotland and back.
It's a 2010 transit van with a powerful 2.4l engine that's very brisk.
We converted this ourselves and this camper is pretty much what the photos show; it’s a fanciful celebration of wood, combined with a no-nonsense approach to campervanning; you can drive, eat, drink, sleep and go to the toilet. All the while feeling mighty inspired by the road trip you’re taking.
The basic mod cons have been well thought out, which makes being in the camper surprisingly comfortable; everything is within arm’s length, and cooking can be a great experience. There’s enough space for you to be organised, and the fixed bed extends in a clever way so that even the tallest traveller will be able to stretch out on the very comfortable full size memory foam mattress. And most people can stand up in this high top Ford.
For people traveling in the summer and looking to wild camp, we have provided a portable pump up shower. In winter you’ll need to just use swim centres, service stations or camp sites. Simply research beforehand which of the camp sites are open all year and make a note of them. I have a list of campsites in the highlands that are open in winter and I’m happy to share this list.
