Beaches everywhere you look, with the blue waves of the Gulf of Mexico and Santa Rosa Sound constantly begging for your attention. It truly is a magical place, and what makes it even more special are the establishments you can visit: Navarre Beach Marine Science Station, the Sea Turtle Conservation Center, and the scenic fishing pier. Here you can learn all you never thought you wanted to know about the ocean and the creatures living in it. Oh, and there’s scuba diving. What a place!There’s a lot to see on dry land too, and what better way to do it than from the back of a horse. With lots of places to choose from, camping in Holt allows you to go on a wonderful little adventure whatever your skill level is and other than riding down beautiful trails, you’ll also get to know your horse. The establishments are usually rather flexible with the booking times, but if you want to go on a specific day, you might want to call ahead.

Exploring the Area

Crestview is a great place to start if you rent an RV in Okaloosa County, and has a whole lot of history and culture. You can start at the Carver-Hill Museum, a beautiful building telling the story of the school with the same name that was founded during the segregation times so that African-American children could get a good education. Also in Crestview, you’ll get to spend some time at the local amusement center, where the whole family can enjoy virtual reality games, tasty food, and mechanical bulls.Steer your motorhome rental toward Pensacola if you’re in the mood for even more fun and entertainment; who isn’t. There are beaches, of course, and many fun events and activities, including museums, fun parks, and an abundance of history. Watch the Blue Angels conquer the sky, hike the birding trail, or go on a dolphin tour, or have a look at one of the archaeological sites. It’s the perfect city for a family vacation, and the whole area is just waiting for you when you rent a camper near Blackwater River Campground.
