Although no motorized boats, except small electric motors, are permitted on the lake, it’s the perfect location to practice canoeing, kayaking or stand up paddleboarding. Lake Acworth is not large but has some interesting inlets to explore.
Camping at Lake Acworth
With no campgrounds on Lake Acworth, you’ll need to look further afield, but not far as the Old Highway 41 campground is just a few miles north to Lake Allatoona. The lakeside location gives lovely views, and the swimming beach and boat ramp are close by. Full hookup sites are available and there are restrooms with showers, picnic tables, and fire rings. This could make a comfortable location for motorhome camping with the family.
