Welcome to the Elwood. This cozy, fiberglass trailer has a fridge, microwave, 12V fan, double USB and 12V charging port, bluetooth speaker/radio, queen bed with memory foam topper, bench/single bed (suitable for young child), lots of outlets and loads of storage. The roof pops up for extra ventilation, natural light and head room.
Trailer is just over 6 feet wide, 13 feet long and weighs 690kg fully loaded. It is tiny but packs everything you need and you don't need a large vehicle to tow it! Hitch requires a 1 7/8 inch receiver ball (renter to provide). The hitch is 13" off the ground in level position, so if your vehicle has a high bumper (eg. Jeep, truck) you will need a step-down receiver to tow the trailer (if in doubt just ask me!)
Book an electrical site if you want to plug in and run all the outlets and appliances. On a non-electrical site you will not have use of the microwave and fridge but a fully charged battery will run the lights, fan and USB and 12V charger.
Interesting facts.... These trailers were originally made in Poland and a small number were imported and assembled by Nical Trailers in Canada. They are still manufactured in Poland (Niewiadow N126) and in the UK (Freedom caravan)
What's includedThe trailer comes stocked with two camping chairs, awning, screened dining tent, hammock, propane camping stove (1-small green propane tank provided (16oz/1lb)), water jug, outdoor folding table, coffee maker, set of plates, bowls, cups and cutlery for 4, mugs, pots and pans, campfire grill, dishwashing bin, flashlights, marshmallow roasting sticks, games, hose and nozzle for hook up to water at the site, dish soap, tinfoil, salt/pepper, coffee, tea and sugar. All you need to bring: linens/blankets and pillows, towels, food and smiles!
RecommendationsThere are lots of great places to camp near Guelph some of my favourite GRCA campgrounds are:
*Elora Gorge-great trails, amazing views and tubing down the Grand River!
*Rockwood- limestone cliffs, caves and glacial potholes, great trails and great for kayaking or canoeing.
*Looking for a great base point to explore all that the Kitchener, Cambridge and Guelph area has to offer? Bingeman's gives you all that and a waterpark too!
*Long Point provincial park is less than 2 hours from Guelph
*Pinery Provincial Park is 2 hours from Guelph
Other things to noteWe welcome pets but not smoking inside please.

Hello my name is Kathy and started camping as a kid with my parents and sister in our tent trailer....I still love a pop up but there's lots to love about a trailer also.

This trailer is the absolute best. The second time I have rented it and it was the same experience. Everything you need all in one place. Doesn't smell, super clean, bed is extremely comfortable and it is so organized! We group camp and all my friends just love this little trailer. Thank you Katherine for this opportunity.

We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure in the Cadet. Many people we met admired the retro trailer.

We had a fantastic time with this little trailer! There were so many thoughtful touches and it came prepared with everything we needed. I seriously was able to put my camp packing list away and just brought our food, clothes, and bedding. The fan inside was wonderful and kept us comfortable throughout the night, the fridge, microwave, and lights all worked perfectly, and the bed was super comfy (the bed is a little on the short side but my husband and I were just able to fit at 6'0 and 5'10").

Kathy made our anniversary weekend so special. This was one of the best decisions we ever made and because of her we are hooked on cute tiny trailers. It was so clean and so cozy and it had everything you’d ever need and more. If you forgot something don’t worry, this trailer has got your back, not to mention it was so worth the price we paid we would book again and again. Thanks Kathy for making this such a memorable weekend.

Such a memorable experience for my Aussie nephews!
They truly had such a blast experiencing “ Canadian” style glamping!
Kathy was so great to communicate with. The set up was seamless and that camper was such a sweet little gem! At the end of the day making memories is what it’s all about!!! In fact, they want one just like it!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
Flexibility of pick up and drop off will depend on if there are previous bookings...just ask and we can figure out the best timing to work for both of us.

Q.What size of receiver ball is required and do you provide it?
To tow the trailer you will require a 1 and 7/8" receiver ball. I do not provide one but they are readily available at Canadian Tire, Walmart or Amazon. In the level (towing) position, the trailer hitch is approx 13" off the ground. Many vehicles such as Jeeps, pick- up trucks and some other SUVs have a very high back bumper and without a step down receiver, the trailer sits at too much of an angle sof safe towing. Please just ask if you are unsure.
