Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Lava Hot Springs is a popular summer vacation destination for those living in southeastern Idaho, but it’s a great under-the-radar spot for anyone who enjoys small-town living and beautiful scenery. As its name suggests, it’s most famous for its volcanic hot springs. The super-heated aquifer is pumped into pools at the Lava Hot Springs resort where patrons can soak in its warm and odor-free waters (a rarity with mineral hot springs).
When you book an RV in Bannock County, you’ll have access to full hookups with 50 amp electrical service, sites that can accommodate 65-foot-long vehicles, laundry facilities, a fenced-in dog area, showers, and a playground. The campground even has a Kamping Kitchen that you can use to prepare food outside of your rental RV. The campground offers some excellent recreational opportunities too, like fishing equipment (you’ll need to get your own state license, available at nearby gas stations) and tube rentals to use in the adjacent Portneuf River.
Lava Hot Springs KOA is one of the few RV campgrounds conveniently located in the middle of town. Many of the community attractions are within walking distance of the campground, no need to start up your rental or find parking on the city streets. Soda Springs, home of the Soda Springs Geyser, is just a short drive east, and larger cities like Pocatello and Idaho Falls are within easy driving distance.
