The Corps of Discovery is a 2023 Mid Range Hiker Trailer by Hiker Industries. This small rig is perfect for just you or a couple, and yes, your dog. I call this Hiker my tent on wheels. Great for those with small SUVs and Pickups. If your nervous about towing a large trailer, this little rig will be no sweat. Setup is quick and nearly park and ready.Notes for Guest:
Watch walkthrough videos on the features, hitch hookup, and awning setup and stowing.
Tow vehicle Must have a 7 pin connector and 2" Ball, be rated for 2500 lb tow capacity, receiver must be 18 to 19" from ground. If stowing additional camping gear in trailer, stow towards front (by doors) to keep weight forward of axle. The trailer does not have AC, but does have MaxAir Fan. Recommend opening fan awning, ports at front, and cracking windows open. If you are on shore power, you can run the fan continuously. If not run fan prior to turning in and set on low. Running fan all night could deplete battery.Note: The trailer doesn't have a sink, shower, or toilet, so be mindful if your camping site has these amenities or what you may need to bring to plan for these.-Do not leave pets in trailer unattended.-Bring your own disposable items (toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, plastic utensils and cups, foil, plastic wrap ,batteries, charcoal, food, water, etc.)-Bring your own linens, sleeping bags, pillows, etc.-If in bear country, do not store food or coolers in the trailer.-Stow the awning if wind gust are expected over 30 mph-Heater Warnings: Electric Heater - Only use if on Shore Power - DO NOT use Bluetti or power from Bluetti to power electric heater. Propane Heater - Use to warm space while awake and attended. Open two vent ports and open MaxAir Fan. DO NOT sleep with Heater running. One 1 lb tank can last up to 5 hours. DO NOT hook it up to 11 lb tank. What's includedThe rig has a 270 degree awning and comes with several included amenities:Galley: Coleman Campstove, Cooking Utensils, Cast Iron Cookware, Plates, Bowls, Cups, Coffee Percolater, Cutting Board, Knives, Serving Bowls, Strainer Bowls, Roasting Forks.Cabin: Sleeping Cot OR Full Size Inflatable Matress and Portable Heaters.Other: 11 lb Propane Tank, 110V 30 amp Shore Power, 12V Battery, Bluetti 300 AMP Hour Power Station, Extension Cords & Adapters, Tools, Hatchet, Lashing Straps/Cords, etc.RecommendationsIf you are a going on a weekend hiking trip, Mountain and Road bike trip, Car Camping at local state park, Lake or Riverside Fishing get away, or Tailgating at sporting event or festival, and other off the beaten path adventures, this is a great option if you want to rough it just a bit without the hassle of a tent.Other things to noteWatch walkthrough videos on the features, hitch hookup, and awning setup and stowing.Hitch Setup: https://youtu.be/9WBQ9bwCkEw?si=mJCm4pw1GXg9_kn2Awning Setup: https://youtu.be/Bc6BErOJINU?si=9XObj1S8H2a-Dgb0Walk Through: https://youtu.be/XJgJXaxn1hQ?si=7ONDQEu5wb-k7ws9

I love being outdoors and taking road trips to explore new and favorite spots. I like to hike trails and mountain bike. Upgraded from my tent to the trailer to make set up quicker a bit more comfortable while still roughing it a bit. Cover photo is of me and my late travel companion, Kelsey.
