We also offer our guest some private locations hosted by our locals.Waianapanapa is a 122 acre State Park in Hana, on the island of Maui. Waianapanapa means, “glistening fresh water” in the hawaiian language, which refers to the nearby freshwater streams and sparkling pools. This park features a beautiful black sand beach, tidal caves, blow hole and native plants.Hosmer Grove Campground
Hosmer Grove lies in the cloud belt of Haleakalā, just below the 7,000-foot level (2134m) in the summit area. Be prepared for rain and cold weather. Nighttime temperatures can drop into the to near freezing (0°C); daytime highs average 50-65°F (10-18°C). The campground has picnic tables, BBQ grills, drinking water, and pit toilets. Sites are close together in an open, grassy area near the forest and shrubland of Hosmer Grove. A self-guided nature trail begins and ends at the campground. The forest comes to life in the early dawn with the many native birds in the area, making this a beautiful early morning hike.
Kīpahulu Campground
The Kīpahulu campground is about 1/8 mile (.2km) south of the Kīpahulu Visitor Center in Haleakalā National Park. There is an entrance fee to enter but you can double up and use it to enter the summit too. This spot overlooks ocean cliffs and is a short walk from ʻOheʻo Gulch. In the evenings, the sound of the ocean waves makes this a peaceful place. The campground has picnic tables, BBQ grills, and pit toilets. No water is available at Kīpahulu Campground; However, drinking water is available at the Kīpahulu Visitor Center restrooms. There are two general stores in the nearby town of Hāna (10 miles[16km] away) where you can purchase water and basic food supplies.
Ymca Camp keanae sits halfway between Kahului and Hana. This is a great place to take a break from the winding road to Hana. I suggest calling ahead of time during your planning process to make reservations ahead of time as they sometimes close to the public because they take in large groups during school break. Reservations is $25 for one person or $40 for 2. They do have some waterfall hikes near by and gorgeous views. Also hot showers and bathrooms to use. They also have coin laundry machine, free ice and purified water for you to fill up before heading to Hana.Camp Olowalu is an ocean front camp located on the south shore of Maui. Known for its pristine coral reefs, with exotic reef wild life all year. Whales migrate to the hawaiian waters between Nov-April. It also has cleaning, feeding, and socializing stations for green sea turtles and manta rays year round. You can also rent kayaks and SUP’s directly from the camp by the hour or the whole day. The cost to stay there is $20 pp. Included you will be able to use the amenities which include hot/cold outdoor showers, clean bathrooms, sinks, fire pit, and tables.House manual
You will receive the car clean and with a full tank of gas. We ask that you take care of our car and return it with a full tank of gas too.
Check out time is 10am. So we have time to prepare for the next guest. If you have a late flight, we sometimes are able to accommodate you depending on our next rental. Please notify us in advance and we will let you know prior to check out.If you damage the vehicle or any of the equipment, you are responsible for it. Let us know Asap, first off it’s the right thing to do, secondly so we have enough time to notify the next guest. We encourage you to only stay at Private Camp sites. If you get stuck or break the vehicle, you are responsible to return it to us back in Kahului. We ask that you treat this vehicle with respect and have a good time. Unfortunately not everyone is responsible and respectful which makes us post these common sense rules. If you request an Airport Pick up, you will be responsible for the parking fee usually less than $15.Aloha,
