Our standard check-in time is 3:00PM. If available, you may be able to checkin sooner for an additional fee of $10/hr should you want your campervan earlier than 3:00PM. Let us know if you would like early check-in and we will try and accommodate you but it is not guaranteed. We are located at 230 Hana Highway #9 which is around 2 miles from the Kahului (OGG) airport. The best way of getting there is by using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft and alternatively there are taxis but they tend to be more expensive. Once there, we will go over the campervan with you, teach you how to use it, answer any questions you might have and will get you on the road.Camping:

Since Maui Wowie has been in our fleet for 7 years now, it does show a bit of wear and tear for its age and is priced accordingly, but it still remains one of our most popular campervans for cruising around the island. Also note that many of our Maui campervans have some scrapes to the passenger side of the van due to customers scraping it on the road to Hana.
The rooftop AC will run on battery power at night but the vehicle has to be driven for 2-3 hours each day to recharge the batteries for the AC to be used each night, otherwise there is plenty of power to keep cool with our vent fans and the night Hawaiian breeze.
The $9 per person fee must be added by you during checkout. It is the first Add-on. If not added during checkout, then we will automatically add it to your reservation.
When booking through Outdoorsy’s platform, you will be required to purchase insurance through them even if you have your own insurance that would cover this campervan rental.Thank you for checking out our campervan

5What an amazing adventure and a way to see the island of Maui! We camped all over Maui and had a blast. I would recommend reading the description of the vehicle and not have large baggage's while renting. Best to pack on the lighter side! We will be renting this out again!

5Great van, good little family trip. Vehicle is a little rugged at 150k miles but still ran like a champ and fit our needs well.

5Great experience taking Maui Wowie around the island. Very comfortable bed and the AC is a great option to have for the hot nights. Highly recommend!

5The campervan was great! It was easy to get around with. Parking was sometimes an issue, but that is a general issue on the island. Everything worked as expected. Camp Olowalu and Hosmer Glen are both great spots to park for the night.

2.5From the first time we attempted to use the sink it was stopped up and took hours to drain. Because of this we only cooked one meal in the van and shifted to eating out during our use. Unfortunately, I had spent nearly $200 on food to cook in the van that largely went to waste. Upon the Van's return Nate admitted that the drain sometimes plugs and that he blows it out from time to time. That's not OK. The drain should work 100% of the time and be checked prior to any use. I'd recommend changing out the Hepvo valve in it before it is rented again.
