The Little Green Honu
The Little Green Honu
We have been told that driving a Land Rover on Maui was the best experience ever. Guest do not feel like a labeled tourist in the evident tourist driven jeeps all around the island, because they were travelling and camping like a local and with our 4x4 off-road Land Rover that makes going anywhere to the island a breeze, including the deep sandy beaches or the mud roads of Hana. Or just take it to one of the many official campsite locations on Maui or look into the many host shared plots of land on camp hipster dot com where you will find tons of awesome places to camp. You will comfortably fit 2 adults in this camper setup and 2 adults with 1 child (weight limit is 650lbs). Camp without compromise! Please note this is a new Roofnest Sparrow XL top of the line hard-shell camping tent. Listing may have some older photos of the older soft top camper no longer in use.
A sheet and pillow set are included at no additional charge.
Please see the Enhance Your Trip Section ADD ON items for a small rental fee such as a propane dual burner gas stove, full size coolers, ground tents, folding chairs, camping table, BBQ grill, changing station, beach tents, beach towels, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, surf boards, skim boards, snorkel gear, hammocks, local wine or spirits and anything else you may request we can add on.
We have been all over the island. We camped in the snow at Hosmer's Grove, We camped at Haleakala National Park on the Hana Side, Papaluaua Park, Camp Olowalu, Polo Poli, Waianapanapa State Park, and about 30 other places that are unofficial so I cannot recommend, but once your here, you will see there are plenty of places and if camping off the cuff is not for you then there is hipcamp dot com that has dozens of rentable personally owned camping areas to stay at all around the island.
No Smoking. I highly recommend that you are physically ok to climb up and down a ladder to the tent which has a limit of 300 lbs per person. Please use the provided shoe bag (mounts to exterior of tent) to minimize excess dirt, sand or mud being tracked into the tent.
My Family and I love camping and no other better place than the beautiful island of Maui for you to rent a top end camper in a Range Rover. This is camping without compromise. Not only do we love to camp, but we love to surf and ride dirt bikes and our camper with roof racks and optional dirt bike hauler allows that... Our line of Land Rovers / Range Rovers are the perfect outfit to get you where you need to go, and take you where you never thought you could go. Welcome to the family and the camper setup that will let you and your family create your own memories.

What an awesome experience! The Rover was perfect for exploring Maui and Ed was an awesome host. Ed was a super responsive, helpful guy who made sure we had everything we needed for our trip, from chargers to speakers, lights & beyond. The car itself was perfect for road to hana - 4-wheel drive, small enough to feel comfortable on winding roads, but big enough to fit camping gear. The gas mileage was great too. The tent was super easy to set up and tear down which made for easy early morning adventures. 100% would recommend

Signing up for Lyft was outrageous, we used the taxi to pick up vehicle which was reasonable, we had to figure out the roofnest but watched a video by roofnest owners which was helpful, maybe Ed would consider referring information from roofnest especially for 1st timers like us, we definitely would refer or suggest to friends or family as an alternative to Hotel or those that wants to venture something different, later I'll send photos and make comments if there's a big difference in savings...
