Quickly responds to all questions
Guests consistently praise Ben for being very responsive and helpful, answering questions promptly via text or email, and being communicative throughout the rental period.
Reliable for challenging island roads
The van successfully navigated challenging roads like Hana and Haleakala with good fuel efficiency, but faces issues with AC, battery draining quickly when not running, and some maintenance shortcomings.

2.0I was a nice low cost van but the AC is not working, the batteries doesn't work if not running and is very old. But for a few days is ok

4.0PROS: We had a wonderful time. Visiting Maui with this van was very cool. Ben is a good host and anwser quickly to our question via texto or email. The van is exactly as described: An old van (2007) well maintained reliable with low millage. The bed is very confortable (a must in camping 😉) and it is full equiped with almost everything you need. Cons: We’ve been to 4 différents camp sites and none of them had some electricity. So if the van could have a solar panel and a second battery, it would make a word of difference. Because if the van is not running, you going to drain the only battery very quickly. For example, at Wai’anpana where we parked for 3 days (without electricity) we used the cooler of another van equiped with solar panel parked beside us. The other solution would have been to let the van run (and that doesn’t make anysense…) Because there are no electricity available anywhere, a percolator coffee pot that you can boil on the little stove would be lot more useful than the electric coffee maker. An electric coffee maker has an heating element that take to much current for the oly battery available.
