2021 Braxton Creek Free Solo Plus
Please note: After November 1st the trailer will be winterized to prevent the pipes from freezing so we will not be putting water in it until early sprint spring but it will still be available perfect for anyone looking for a warm trailer to stay and cook in.
A smaller trailer that you can bring pretty much anywhere. It can be towed by an SUV with a towing capacity of at least 3,500 pounds making it ideal for your next trip. Since it is a smaller trailer, it is perfect for people who are new to towing or who want to go places off the beaten path. The dinette can be converted into a second queen bed. It does have a stovetop, microwave, small fridge, heat, and air conditioning.
What's included
Camping chairs, pots and pans to cook with, fresh linens for the bed, attachable mirrors that should fit most vehicle types, and a hitch if needed.
Recommendations
Glendo Reservoir in Wyoming, the lake is large, and we usually stay at the Sandy Beach Campground with electrical hookups. We have been going there for many years now, although they tend not to take care of the campsites as well as other places. Another thing to note is that you cannot drive to the beach at this lake, in addition, the restrooms are all outhouses and there is no running water. Reservations for these spots are opened 6 months in advance and are usually booked right away.
Lake McConaughy in Ogallala Nebraska is a trip we take every year. We typically stay at Lake Ogallala instead of Lake McConaughy as the campsites have more shade. We always pack up and drive to the beach for the day and then come back to the trailers at night. The sites are also nice because there is running water, and showers that you can use there, although yes the trailer has both of these, but the tanks can only hold so much water so if you are staying for a week, showers in the trailer would fill up the tanks quickly. Unless you are going during a holiday, reservations are typically easy to get at this spot.
Our favorite fall spot is Dowdy Lake, near Red Feathers Colorado, this is a nice spot for just relaxing, hiking, fishing, and the kids love to play on the rock formations that surround the lake. Bathrooms are outhouse types, but they are extremely clean, and well maintained. These spots are also nice if you are going with a group as you can book double spots, just be careful of the ones with trees in the middle of them, they can be tricky to back into. Spots also fill up very fast and are available 90 days in advance.
Other good local spots are the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Carter Lake, Jackson Reservoir, Horsetooth, and Sterling Reservoir each having their own appeal.

Pets are welcome! (there is not a lot of walking space so if you have bigger dogs, 60 pounds plus, this trailer may be too small for them)

As a first time user of Outdoorsy and our first time using a travel trailer, Taylor's Free Solo worked well for my wife & 2 dogs. With the exception of a cranky furnace, everything else worked fine. Taylor provided great communication throughout the trip and a handy binder with tips (for newbies especially!).

Taylor's RV is in excellent condition and came stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and easy towing experience. Communication was quick and easy, and Taylor was able to accommodate our drop-off time (which was dependent on horse show time). We would happily rent from Taylor again!

I had 2 previous reservations cancelled because the hosts didn’t update their calendars, so when I found Taylor’s listing and she responded right away I was SO relieved! She was communicative throughout the whole process which made me (RV newbie) extremely comfortable. She cared about us having a great experience and provides a binder of helpful information to reference. The trailer itself was perfect for me, my husband, and our 2 13lbs pups. Driving in our BMW X3, it barely seemed like we were towing anything! Taylor provides a great rug and chairs which make outside lounging fun and comfortable. I could keep going on, but just trust me it was a wholly positive experience, 10/10 would recommend!
