2023 Mercedes Thor Sanctuary 19L

Thanks for stopping by! My van is fairly new(less than 16k miles) and upgraded from a stock Revel. Biggest upgrades are in the professionally installed suspension; a van compass 4.3 suspension kit which means adjustable ride in the rears and a cell phone reception booster for the cabin.
This is why you'd want to rent this van, this is far easier to drive than a standard revel and is lovely at times. With that being said, you can expect a fair amount of attention to be paid during windy days, this thing is basically a windsail.
In its brief life, I've already taken my van (name TBD) to a wide range of places from Big Bend to the beaches of port A, the 4x4 drive inspires a lot of confidence. But another fair warning, there are no skid plates, so I wouldn't recommend trying any rock crawling trails. But your standard river beds, dirt roads, etc are no problem.
The van is about the length (19ft) of a dodge ram double cab and a fair bit wider, it's towing rating is 5000lbs though I wouldn't recommend towing anything more than 3500lbs.
Do let me know where you're thinking of going, I'll lend my recovery/off road kit for free if you need it, which includes tire deflators / inflators, off road recovery tracks and shovel.
The Revel is a bit of a tight fit for those who are taller than 6ft tall.
In addition to the off road gear if you need it, I'll include fresh linens, folding chairs, basic camping cookware and silverware, the standard RV hookups (30amp) and leveling blocks.
The revel has an electric induction cooktop.
I'd recommend going to Big Bend, Gartner State Park, Port Aransas, the hill country, New Orleans, etc. Really the possibilities are endless, it's compact size allow you to go to urban areas and also boon dock in the middle of the Texas desert in the same day or week, if you wanted to.
No smoking in the van, no festivals, pets are fine. If you're thinking of towing a small trailer / camper, I'll include usage of my electric brake controller for extra safety.

Sam was super to work with and very kind and patient with a couple of senior newbies. He has such great communication manuals. What a nice trip.
