RV camping at Ross Barnett Reservoir offers great opportunities to get outdoors and explore. In such a huge reservoir, boating is going to be popular. There are five marinas on the lake, providing a range of services from permanent moorings to basic marine supplies. With so much space, it is perfect for sailing boats, and there is still room for powerboats, water skiing, and jet skiing. Sailboats, canoes, and kayaks can be rented at several of the marinas, plus some also provide lessons if required.

Camping at Ross Barnett Reservoir

There are five campgrounds around the reservoir, all with an on-site manager that accept rental RVs. Timberlake Campground is at the southern end of the reservoir, close to the dam, and offers a full range of facilities. It is also just on the edge of the town of Brandon, with its amenities all within walking distance. Along with full hookups and WiFi, there’s a swimming pool, sports facilities, a boat launch, and much more.

Exploring the Area

There are several communities surrounding the lakeshore, including the city of Ridgeland, where you can stock up your rental RV before heading to one of the campgrounds.
