One of the most unique and visited sites in Republic is Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield. Visitors to the site may be surprised to learn that this, now idyllic green space, was once the site of one of the first major battles of the Civil War. In 1861, Union and Confederate soldiers fought it out in this space to decide who would gain control of the state of Missouri. Now, this historic space is open to the public, with regular engaging tours running that highlight some of the noteworthy landmarks showcasing this memorable battle. If you don’t fancy joining a tour, guide yourself around the five miles of paved trails, looking out for informative signs dotted around the park. Make sure to stop at Bloody Hill and take time to ponder the great battle that took place here whilst appreciating the panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.

This was the best experience I could've imagined having. I had an emergency with my mom and they met me with nothing but understanding and was as helpful as possible. They are very sweet and caring, I couldn't say enough good things about them! The camper was also nice and definitely served its purpose!
