Camping at Platte River State Park
Due to the rugged terrain of the park, RV camping is not available at Platte River State Park. However, just four miles away from the park, Louisville State Recreation Area offers over 120 luxurious RV pads for all your camping needs. Surrounded by five sandpit lakes and lush cottonwood trees, the area provides easy access to activities such as swimming and picnicking within the campground.
Exploring the Area
While camping with an RV in Louisville, have fun splishing and splashing at the area’s very own floating playground on the water. Featuring giant colorful floating obstacles, monkey bars, a climbing wall, and a dome all above water, the playground holds 90-minute sessions for all who want to try their hand at this hilariously fun game. You’ll have fun both as a viewer and as a contestant here, as the playground provides an entertaining spectacle to all involved.
