Glenwood Acres is a magnificent campground in Concord, North Carolina, The park is about 12 miles northeast of Charlotte. The campground has been in the family since 1939, and the operations as well as the maintenance are in the hands of one of the members of the family. He continues the dedication of the family to a park that is safe, quiet, and hospitable for race fans and other visitors. The park is especially popular with fans attending events at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The park is open year round, and the weather is almost always excellent. Visitors will be happy to know that the park is close to most of the attractions in the area. There are great walking trails, picnic tables, and concrete pads. The grass, paved sites and paved roads make the park a pleasant place for families. The beautiful trees are a great backdrop at the sites. The sites have 30 or 50 amp electric service. Camping facilities include pull-through sites, 20/30/50 amp, full hook-ups, bathroom and showers. The Campground has a Camp Store, canoes for rent, and firewood and propane for sale. Deep River also has an ample grassy area for dogs but certain breeds (pit bulls, rottweilers, dobermans, and dalmatians) are not permitted. Deep River is located in Ashboro which is 23.7 miles south of High Point. The drive takes about 1/2 hour. You will enjoy this rural setting and scenic part of North Carolina.
