The Great Outdoors

Full of valleys and mountains, Nantahala comes from the Cherokee word meaning "land of the noonday sun" as the sun does not reach the valley floor until midday. There are lots of hiking trails and small mountains to climb, with there's a scenic overlook at the highest point in the park. Other activities include horseback riding, hunting, and even water sports.

There's no shortage of places to stay when you rent an RV in Marble, NC. Just outside of Marble is the Valley River RV Resort. This resort offers about 100 paved sites equipped with full hookups, offering both 30 and 50 amp service options. There's also room for big rigs if you'd rather have a pull-through or slide-out campsite. Valley River offers lots of extras, including a pool, game room, and a private fishing lake.
Exploring the City
Due to Marble's small size, there's not a lot to do within the city limits, however, Cherokee County and the surrounding area has some great activities and historical sites. There's also the basics available in nearby Murphy, with a few restaurants and stores located here. If you're looking to learn more about the history of the area, then you might want to take a trip to the Cherokee Historical Museum, located in nearby Murphy. This museum celebrates the history of the Cherokee tribe, with over 2,000 Cherokee artifacts on display. It also documents to Trail of Tears and subsequent pioneer settlers moving to the area, giving a unique insight into a difficult time in U.S. history.

This amazing little nuCamper is definitely ideal for the minimalist. I took this camper on a week long camping trip, along with my 70 pound Bluetick Hound named Bella Blu. Grant was a great host and easy to work with! We loved the option for set-up and retrieval of the camper. It made for an easy and fun 1st experience for our family camper camping! Loved the outdoor kitchen area as well! Camper was spacious and left our family of 4 with plenty of room!
