This portion of Oklahoma is quite rural, and most of it is characterized by the flat, agricultural land this region is known for. Renting an RV at Red Rock Canyon State Park will give you the opportunity to engage in many different activities. There are many hiking trails available throughout the park. These will vary based on how long they are and their difficulty level. Some are easier and cooler as they stick to the bottom of the canyon, where it's more shaded. They also offer opportunities to dip your hot feet in the nearby creek. Other trails traverse the rim of the canyon. These are more difficult, and visitors should expect less shade with these options.
There's plenty of other fun things to do at the park, other than hiking. Fishing and swimming spots are available along the nearby creek. When the water level is high enough, you can even explore it with a canoe or kayak. There are also numerous places where you can set up a picnic lunch.
