The park consists of high desert landscapes dotted with basalt rock and volcanic geological features that are perfect for bouldering, traditional climbing, sports climbing, and multi-pitch climbing. There are nearly 2,000 distinct climbing paths in the park, as well as a few day-use areas, campgrounds, and hiking trails. The Cove Palisades State Park is a larger state park between Warm Springs and Smith Rock State Park that you can visit while you tour the region in your Warm Springs camper rental. The main focal point of this park is Lake Billy Chinook, a massive impoundment of three different rivers. There are many miles of coastline that can offer you a quiet, relaxing place to beat the heat and avoid the crowds. This trailer was just what our family needed for a week camping at Cove Palisades Deschutes campground. Smooth setup and exchange. Awning and AC worked great during a hot week. Lots of room with the slide out. (Remember to bring all your own linens and kitchen soap!) Host was easy to communicate with! Recommend this RV.
