Lazy K Campground is located in the beautiful countryside of southeastern Pennsylvania. It is just outside of Boyertown, a small town in Berks County. The campground is also an hour's drive outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's largest city, and a 90-minute drive from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's capital. There are several other large cities within driving distance of the campground, too; New York City and Baltimore are both within a two-hour drive.

Most RV campsites at Lazy K Campground come with the option for water and electrical connections, and some also offer sewer and cable hookups. Campsites longer than 40 feet are also available to accommodate larger vehicles. There is a bathhouse on-site, as well as a laundry room to make your RV camping experience more convenient. There are designated fire areas for cookouts.

The campground offers a small catch-and-release fishing area, which is surrounded by lush greenery. The pond is stocked with several different species of fish, including bass, catfish, carp, and sunfish, and no license is needed when angling here. Pets are allowed at Lazy K Campground as long as they are kept on leash. As an added convenience, the campground also offers on-site camper repairs.

The Great Outdoors

There are so many fun outdoor activities to explore when you go RV camping at Lazy K Campground. One of the most popular is Crystal Cave, which is a short drive away in Kutztown. This giant underground cave is one of the most accessible in the country. The cave was originally discovered in the late 19th century and was opened to the public soon after. You can now take guided tours of the cave.

West of the campground is Hawk Mountain, which is a must-visit for wildlife lovers. This area is a wild bird sanctuary and is particularly important to the preservation of raptors in the area. Hiking in the area is one of the easiest ways to see stunning large birds, including hawks, eagles, and falcons. There is an extensive network of hiking trails that will take you up the mountain for stunning views of the countryside. Within the preservation, be sure to follow rules and regulations to keep the habitat safe for the birds. There are several other hiking trails as well as ATV trails nearby in the surrounding mountains. The Pinnacle is another notable trail with incredible views. For those who are feeling particularly ambitious, there are access points for the Appalachian Trail nearby as well.

Closer to the campground, you'll find plenty of opportunities for fishing. One of the best is the Trout Run Reservoir, which has largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass. The reservoir is very peaceful and secluded. A Pennsylvania fishing license is required if you want to fish here. If you're looking for a larger body of water where you can go boating, check out the nearby Green Lane Reservoir near Pennsburg. Both motorized and non-motorized boats are allowed here, and there are hiking trails around the reservoir.

There are several other historical sites in the area to explore, as well. These include the Daniel Boone Homestead near Birdsboro, which is a preserved residential settlement from the 18th century, and the Hopewell Furnace, which is an industrial development from the same era.
