Sites are available with water and 30 amp electrical hookups, or water, sewer, and electrical hookups, with the option for 50 amp service. The campsites here are geared toward families traveling together, and the campground is also pet-friendly as long as animals are leashed. In the center of the campground is a modern bathhouse with clean restrooms and showers. There is a large play area for kids as well as a swimming pool to keep you entertained on warm summer days. When the weather is less pleasant, you can venture indoors to spend some time in the game room. An on-site general store and gift shop offers ice, firewood, snacks, and other basic items you may need.

The Great Outdoors

Nockamixon State Park is very close to the campground, and it's one of the most popular state parks in the area due to its expansive lake. There is a full swimming complex at the state park with water slides and a kids' pool. There are a large marina and boat launch area too. The lake is spacious enough for sailboats and windsurfing but is also a popular destination for kayaks as well as smaller motorized boats. The lake is very popular for fishing and has several different species of fish, including bass, walleye, catfish, carp, and more.On land, Nockamixon State Park has several hiking trails that are very convenient when you camp in an RV in this area. The trails vary widely in difficulty and length, so there are options for both beginners and experienced hikers. Many of the trails will take you up into the mountains for beautiful views of the lake. There are also some areas around the park for hunting, including designated archery-only areas. This large underground cave is in nearby Kutztown, and you can take a tour through the underground crystal formations. Tours also include presentations on the history and geology of the cave and how it was discovered. The cave also has an on-site hiking trail and even offers guided gemstone panning for kids. There's also a restaurant and a mini-golf course where you can relax.

The Tohickon Family Campground is located in Quakertown. This small town is the most accessible place to stock up on camping supplies - there are a large supermarket and multiple convenience stores. There is also a gas station here where you can fill up your rental motorhome. The larger city of Allentown is a short drive north of the campground, and there are plenty of fun attractions to explore there as well. Car lovers will want to check out the America on Wheels Museum and the Mack Trucks Historical Museum, both of which feature historical vehicles. Cedar Beach Park and the Allentown Rose Gardens are both ideal places to relax on a warm day, while the Allentown Art Museum features a nice curated collection of modern artwork.Philadelphia is an easy day trip while motorhome camping at Tohickon Family Campground. There are so many fun activities to explore in this beautiful city. The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall are must-sees for those who enjoy history.
