The campground is located on Rapp Creek and is surrounded by two small ponds. The campground is a 90-minute drive from Philadelphia and a 45-minute drive from the smaller city of Allentown. The New York City metropolitan area is also only a two-hour drive away.Campsites at Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort are full of amenities to help you enjoy your stay. Guests have access to a spacious, clean bathhouse with showers, as well as a laundry room. There is a camp store where you can pick up any necessities you may need while camping, like snacks, firewood, ice, and more. There is free WiFi throughout the campground for your convenience. For fun, there is a heated pool as well as a spray pool, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, a stocked fishing pond, and mini-golf.While camping at Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort, you can also participate in fun family activities like movie nights, hayrides, and arts and crafts nights. The Great Outdoors

Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort is close to the Delaware River, which is a popular place for kayaking and canoeing during the summer. Nearby Frenchtown, New Jersey has a boat launching point where you can get on the river. There are also tubing and boating companies in the area where you can take a guided float down the river. This may be a preferable option for beginners, as the boat launch can be challenging to find. Also nearby is the Delaware Canal State Park. This park follows the Delaware River and Canal, with trails suitable for hiking and biking. There are also access points along the canal and the river where you can fish for bass and walleye.Nockamixon State Park is another popular nearby destination when you camp in an RV here. This park has a 1,450-acre lake, with a large marina and multiple boat launches. The lake is suitable for many different types of boats, including kayaks, small motorboats, and sailboats. You can also go windsurfing here. There are lots of fish in the lake, including several species of bass, walleye, and catfish, and you can rent a fishing pole from the park office. Fishing is not allowed on boat docks or on bridges.The area is also full of hiking trails for all ability levels. The Old Mill Trail is a challenging option that takes you around the lake and through the woods, where you'll see beautiful ponds and old dams. The Elephant, Church, and Mink trails are all easier options on the south end of the lake, which are suitable for families or beginner hikers. The state park also has several miles of paved bike trails and paths for mountain biking. The paved bike trail starts along the lake and leads to a beautiful waterfall. More challenging mountain bike trails will take you up into the hills, where you can find sweeping views of the lake. Some trails are open to horses, and you can arrange horseback riding tours with private outfitters nearby.

When RV camping at Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort, you won't have to go too far to stock up on camping essentials. There are gas stations north or south of the campground along Easton Road. There's also a grocery store nearby in Frenchtown, New Jersey, just across the river. There are a few small restaurants nearby in the Revere/Ottsville area if you're feeling hungry.When you book an RV rental in Bucks County, you'll be a short drive away from fun attractions in the eastern Pennsylvania area. Allentown is a very short drive away, and there are several fascinating museums worth visiting there. The America on Wheels Museum showcases the history of some of the most interesting and important vehicles in the U.S., while the Allentown Art Museum has a sophisticated collection of local art. The Liberty Bell Museum also has a replica of the Liberty Bell and presents information about the history of the area.Philadelphia is also very accessible while motorhome camping near Revere and has an array of fascinating cultural attractions. The charming Old City area has excellent restaurants and shopping, and the Reading Terminal Market is a must-visit for foodies. The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall are here, as is the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Franklin Institute, Please Touch Museum, and Adventure Aquarium are great attractions to check out when you're traveling with kids. Philadelphia has excellent public transit, so you can park your RV rental in a lot and then hop on a train to explore the city.
