A number of years ago, we were firm believers that camping meant roughing it in a tent, cooking your meals over an open fire, and cuddling to stay warm.... how magical, right?! Well, then reality sank in: sleeping on the ground with rocks that feel like razor blades as the air slowly sleeps out of your "mattress", running to Tim Horton's for breakfast because the fire isn't hot enough to boil the water you need for your morning coffee (let alone fry eggs?), and then spending a small fortune taking the kids bowling when it's pouring down rain in the middle of your "magical getaway"! Now, don't get me wrong: I'm not a Debbie Downer, I'm simply a trailer owner A.K.A. Glamper, A.K.A. graduated tent user, A.K.A. I've learned my lesson.This is where "Antiqua", as we call this member of our family, comes in and saves the day for couples looking for lots of glorious space OR large families wanting to save on "rainy-day bowling costs"! With the separate bunk room, private master bedroom, pull-out couch, full bathroom, full-sized fridge, microwave, oven and a convertible dinette, Antiqua is the perfect companion for all your summer (or fall or spring) camping!Here are a few of Antiqua's specs:- Interior Height is 6'6", which means tall people are welcome!
- sleeps 8 (queen master bed, two single bunks (weight capacity for top bunk is 200lbs), convertible dinette (2 people), and the pull-out couch (2 people)
- A/C (must have full power hookup at campground) and Furnace (propane)
- CD/AM/FM/Bluetooth player connected to indoor and outdoor speakers with remote
- 2 electric slideouts (one for the couch and dinette and the other for the bunk room)
- full sized fridge and freezer (great for storing ice - leave the cooler at home!) that operate on propane and/or battery with automatic switch-between for easy no-worry use
- oven and 3 burner propane stove top
- double sink with extra counter space for prep room
- TV with remote control and built in DVD player
- shower and small bath tub in the washroom (great for hosing off kids!... but there's also a hot and cold water - outdoor shower if the hosing off needs to happen outside
- power outlets located on the outside of the trailer (great for making coffee outdoors in the morning!)
- spare 4ft fold-up table is included
- kitchen is fully furnished (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, etc)
- lots of outdoor and indoor storage!
- Ladder ball and ring-toss games are provided
- electric jack (That means: NO Cranking!) and electric brakes on all wheels
- weight distribution hitch with sway bar integration
- under carriage lighting around the steps makes for safe night time accessWe love Antiqua very much and have kept really good care of it over the years.
