2019 Dodge Ram Promaster 2500
Our rig is a 2019 self built camper ready to hit the road! The shell is a Front Wheel Drive Ram Promaster which takes unleaded gasoline. It's equipped with three 100 watt solar panels, a full electrical setup, multiple outlets and lights along with reading night lights for bedtime. It comes with a full sized bed which can sleep two comfortably, as well as a make shift third bed which a shorter individual can curl up in if need be. It has multiple windows for ventilation, and really is a breathable space for maximum relaxation when on the road. There is a love seat for two, as well as a third seat across which serves as the "dining room" where a pull out table slides out for meals. The refrigerator is a dual zone Whynter 62 quart fridge / freezer with easy access underneath the love seat. We have found that this accommodates plenty of space for groceries and perishables. The van comes with 30 gallons of fresh water for your sanitary and cooking needs, and a filtered faucet to drink fresh water out of. A make shift outdoor shower can be had by pulling the sink hose out the window and rinsing off - a straight forward but very nice extra feature when needed. Below the sink there is a 20 gallon grey water system which has a very simple hose system for emptying. There are three seats in the front with buckles. Plenty of drawers and cabinets can be seen in the provided pictures which allow for ample storage. In terms of cooking, a very practical outdoor stove setup is provided in the "garage" (the back of the van), along with a table and camping chairs to make for amazing cookouts while traveling.Overall, this rig is the perfect layout for quick get aways and camping adventures. Overall, our trip was great. Nolan is very easy to talk to and has built a nice camper van. The van is very reliable mechanically and handles hills very well.
The drawers move around a little bit while you're driving and the rubber band that was holding some of them in broke on our trip so we used a strap to hold them into place. I wish that the pickup and drop off times were posted as that had slipped my mind and came as a bit of a surprise in the days leading up to the trip. But as mentioned, Nolan was easy to talk to. We were able to find an agreement easily.
Was a great experience overall, would rent again.
