About this RV

Sheila was made for west coast ski and surf trips and SHE IS A DREAM. We think. We wanted the van to be open concept, and to primarily be in "living room mode". This way, a random pullout can be an impromptu happy hour spot. The transition into "bedroom mode" is super easy and doesn't feel like a chore.

The table drops and converts into a queen bed. You sleep sideways in the van so it's best for people 6' and under unless you sleep scrunched up.

We have a ton of storage, surf board and ski carries, a drawer for clothes, and a Goal Zero Yeti 1400 that charges when you drive. This has several USB ports and both AC and DC outputs.

For winter trips, we have 1-2" rigid foam insulation throughout, a diesel heater and front wheel drive with chains.

Other notes:

*Water is in a 5gal jug with a spigot.

*Orca Cooler is provided/available

*Both drivers and passengers seats articulate

*Camping chairs, hammock and beach blanket included.

*Lights need to be charged manually. Each light lasts about 4hrs

*She's a diesel. About 23 MPG. Doesn't accept bio above B5 unfortunately.

* Basic uni-strut rack on roof, but no ladder yet

Hit us up with any questions. We are excited to share this van and experience with you!

What’s included?

Fresh bedding, camp chairs, silverware and plates and bowls are all included. We have a propane cooktop with fuel, a jet boil and a french press.

The list is too long for this space. We live 2-5 hours away from massive volcanoes, beaches, North Cascades, San Juan Islands, old growth forests, 4 ski areas, Olympic coast, Oregon coast, Whistler/Squamish/Pemberton, Vancouver Island and on. We're happy to help out with ideas and itineraries as well, just ask.

Other things to note

We love this van. Please be gentle.

Budget about 45 minutes when picking up and 30 minutes when dropping off.

We recommend a DROP CHECK policy: before you roll anywhere, yell "DROP CHECK?!" and make sure everything is secured and stowed, especially the 5gal water jug.

The table requires a lift of around 40lbs.

It has an automatic clutch. This just means that there is no park, only the e-brake.

For repairs/fixes we will charge $50/hr in labor + materials. That said, we'll be fair about things that were pre-existing or normal wear and tear.

We took Big Sheila all the way to Yellowstone and back. This was our first time in a converted van and I have to say this redefines the camping experience. I don't know if I can go back to regular camping now!

The van was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The storage is more than sufficient and we didn't end up using all of it. Will provided us with outdoor chairs and fire…

Big thank you’d to Will and Kelsey! Big Sheila’s Beach Mobile was just right for the mini getaway I desperately needed amid COVID travel restrictions. The layout they created is open, and unlike others it didn’t feel cramped — even though it is a shorter wheel base van! So, you have the benefit of being able to park in normal parking spots, turn around and back up easIly (Added plus = backup ca…

Looking for an awesome van to adventure in? Look no more! Took it to the Oregon coast for 5 days to surf and had a great time. Bed is super comfy and the table/ cooking was rad. Mechanically worked great and everything worked well. Will was super nice and easy to work with. We will book again for sure!
